The big year everyone has been talking about for years… 2012 is fast approaching, movies have been made, scores of people are stocking up for the end of the world, predictions of a spiritual shift and awakening are upon us  and a planetary alignment that will bring about massive spiritual and economic and global changes.

One can only guess what will happen, but predictions are it will be a significant year in many regards. Hopefully these will be enlightening and inspirational and not viewed with trepidation.

The holidays are filled with the Jupiterian energy of holiday cheer, but also with the Saturian pressure of finding that right gift in lieu of the tight budgets many folks are experiencing.

So let’s see how jovial Jupiter and taskmaster Saturn play out for each sign in 2012…

Aries March 21 - April 19

By mid year 2012, you finally figure where you want to go in your personal arena.  You’ve worked out the rough pot holes in your relationship, feeling it’s either smooth pavement all the way or deciding to build a new road for yourself - and going solo for now…

Jupiter in your 2nd house continues to bring home the money into 2012, yet it seems to go out as just as fast as it comes in… perhaps due to some binding commitments or your determination to get some lingering debts paid off. When Jupiter hops into your 3rd house in June 2012, you’ll be looking to re-network back into the social arena… feeling freer and more emotionally uplifted during the last half of 2012...

Taurus April 20 - May 20

Saturn in your 6th house has your normally complacent life style shifting gears. You’re working out at the gym religiously, leaving friends  amazed that you have kept it up for this long… Saturn in the 6th   has that “take no prisoners” determination with friends watching in awe at your body metamorphosis. You’re looking pretty darn hot!  Jupiter in the 1st house for the first half of 2012 brings a new found positive self image and confidence.  

Keep doing what you’re doing! When Saturn pushes it’s way into your 7th house next October through the rest of the year,  you may find yourself asking your partner to step up to the plate. Time for re-defining your relationship and getting real about each others expectations. This can be a good thing for both of you! Or if you are single, you may decide that maybe, just maybe it’s time to seriously join match.com.

Gemini May 21 - June 20

Your normally bubbly self has been hiding out in the recesses of your bedroom, happily immersed in writing your children’s novel or working on your new jewelry line. With Saturn in your 5th house, practical marketing ideas come to the forefront; Saturn providing the grounding energies to find the right way to market your ideas.

Your Gemini charm emerges back into the spotlight the second half of the year when jolly Jupiter dances into your 1st house. This is a great time to get out of the bedroom and market your creative genius.

When Saturn enters your 6th house in October 2012, making an income may take on a whole new turn. Perhaps its opening your own small business… home parties, trade shows, life may take on a different work reality. Whatever it is, you put your heart and soul into as it is something you love doing.  2012 could be the year you no longer need to “punch the clock”   anymore.

Cancer June 21 - July 22

Your home life will continue to be in the forefront for 2012… with Saturn in your 4th house, you may be working out of your home or feeling responsibilities of home and family and “where is time for me?”  you ask.   Jupiter in your 11th has you  escaping from self-imposed cabin fever, dialing up friends to go out and kick up your heels… while your family thinks you are out having maybe too much of a good time..

Gee, you just want to live a little, you think...  Saturn has made you feel like you have been tied to a ball and chain at home with deep responsibilities. And some months, you’re just happy to get the rent paid…

Ah, not to worry, sweet Cancer… by October next year,  Saturn moves into  your 5th house where you will be focusing on those creative urges that have been put on the back burner as your were trying to keep your head above water… You’ll also be enjoying the challenges, joys and responsibilities of children in some manner… maybe not just yours, but others… When Saturn hits your 6th house,  dust off that half written children’s book and get it to a publisher because you do have talent... Saturn does not want to hear any excuses!

Hi Ho hi ho, it’s off to work I go… oh yeah! Jupiter is riding high in your 10th house for 2012. You’re   feeling upbeat and optimistic about your career and finances… finally, after years of feeling like you were trying to avoid falling into the cracks from an earthquake! Life is looking up, you’re glad to be back working again and thankful for the job you landed... Your focus and determination and good connections during the rough time have brought a positive turn for you.

Yes, you feeling like roaring, and roar you should… the lion has been beaten down the last few years, but it only takes a while before you come roaring back..

And when Jupiter dances into your 11th house in June 2012, you are, oh, so ready to have some fun… now you have the resources to go camping, backpacking, and traveling and all the fun summer things Leos love to do with friends, and your friends are happy to have you back.

When Saturn goes into your 4th house in October, 2012, you may be re-evaluating where you are living,  fixing up your current residence or purchasing a new home or condo. If so, make sure it has enough room to take in an elderly parent who may be in need of your care.

Virgo August 23 - September 22

You’re still holding on to your purse strings and rightly so, you’ve joined the coupon clippers website, even sneaking your own popcorn into the movie theatre, all in true Virgo fashion.

All the while Jupiter in the 9th until June 2012 nudges your inner urge to travel, explore and get out of the rut you have been in.

Jupiter in 9th wants to have fun, fun, fun, adventure, live for the moment, book that trip to France, all the while Saturn in your 2nd house puts the brakes on your traveling urges, Oh, what a Virgo dilemma!… finding the right balance….

But when Jupiter bounces in to your 10th house in June 2012 an opportunistic job promotion and pay increase, even a new job opportunity brings added optimism and abundance. By October 2012, when Saturn moves into your 3rd house, you are seriously booking the hotel reservations for Paris…

Libra September 23 - October 22

Saturn holds strong in your 1st house, re-defining who you are and where you want to go – you have personal goals, goals and more goals!  Life decisions... Saturn in the 1st prods  you with the urgency  that time is passing you by and  what the *&*&*&*  are you doing with your life?

All the while you a need a job and you’re not quite sure what your skills are anymore. You’re robbing from Peter to pay Paul every month just to get the bills paid. Fortunately with Jupiter in the 8th, you have a financial advisor who is able to give you comfort that your financial investments are in good hands...

Libras don’t like to be put on a budget... this Venus ruled sign likes luxuries, shopping and indulging… And having to cut back… oh, that is painful for a Libra. There have been some hard lessons about seeing the other side of life… watching the pennies… purchasing Sutter Home chardonnay instead of the Kendalll Jackson.

But Jupiter in the 8th house brings gifts from others helping you get through the rough months… a check in the mail from your sister,   friends buy you lunch… you win $20 on the scratch off lottery.

And in October 2012  when Saturn  goes into your 2nd house, it may be a time of again being a bit conservative with money, but also one in which  you hard efforts pay off.  Oh, and those awesome Express jeans… go treat yourself to a new pair of Express jeans… you have earned it.

Scorpio October 23 - November 21

Knock, Knock... go away… come next October when I see the light of day! Saturn in the 12th house still has you under lock and key. Oh, come now, Scorpio, it can’t be all that bad... get that black cloud off your head.  Yes, Saturn wants to take you to the underground and march you like a drill sergeant to work through your psychological issues and clear them out.  The thing is Scorpios can go so deep you feel like you fell down the rabbit hole and can’t find your way out.

Luckily, Jolly Jupiter in your 7th has friends rallying around you who won’t give up on you… supporting and encouraging you, and you do appreciate it even though they may not think so.  But by October of 2012, you will have discovered a new you with a new sense of vision, identity and purpose.

And as Jupiter rolls into your 8th house next June, your investments are booming, your spouse is back working and finances are on the upswing.

It’s time for some comic relief.  Book two tickets to the comedy club and  have some fun in 2012.  You’ve been almost  two years in your cave… with Saturn in  the 1st, get ready for a basketful of amazing personal accomplishments for 2012. Now get back to  laughing at life.

Sagittarius November 22 - December 21

You’re rebuilding your life after a tumultuous time in the financial area… but one thing about Sags, you don’t stay down for long!  Ruled by Jupiter, you have the ability to bounce back using your innate philosophy and idealism for life.

And with Saturn in your 11th house of goals, hopes and dreams you are seriously building a future, and with strong and stoic Saturn  it’s not a “pie in the sky” but  solid dreams and achieving goals that you are marking off on your vision board.

Jupiter in the 6th gives you contentment with your work environment… but a Sag is never quite happy to be complacent. You are looking for new opportunities for expanding on where you are currently… And by June of 2012 you may expand into a partnership – someone who shares your dreams and visions while having the freedom to pursue other meaningful worldly visions and creative vision you see for yourself.

As Saturn slides into your 12th house in October for the remainder of the year, your spiritual endeavors are on the fore front. You may take up meditation and yoga and need more quiet time than usual… a more subdued Sagittarian… visions of opening up a business, yoga studio or art studio, perhaps even as a personal coach.

Your vision and goals from the last two years are now starting to see the positive results. Onward and upward!

Capricorn December 22 - January 19

There will be lots of exciting changes for Capricorns in 2012!  With Saturn in your 10th house, you’re seeing the fruits of your hard work in your new career… the last few years may have felt like you were walking on quick sand in every aspect of your life… nothing seemed to be stable anymore or hold ground and fell apart.

But like the steady mountain goat that you are, you are slowly climbing back up the mountain of success. And people are noticing… something about you… your persistence, dedication… and oh, the brilliant ideas that pop into your head that you share  with co-workers.  You know how to take and idea and expand on it… whew!  You are glad to have a renewed sense of financial and emotional stability return to your life.

Look to June 2012 on to see that the results of your hard work have paid off and a nice salary increase has you silently screaming “Yes, I’m back!”

But Saturn going into your in your 11th house next October,  doesn’t settle for complacency, you have more goals and visions on the horizon… that mountain goat in you is determined to get back to the top of the mountain again… and by gosh, you will!

Aquarius January 20 - February 19

Saturn in the 9th has you focused on a bigger vision for your life… expanding your horizons…  finding a more spiritual and philosophic  approach to life – perhaps teaching English abroad,  building houses with the  Peace Corps, working to help the environment…  something that speaks to your heart and soul a with a purpose.

Your family has been very supportive of your visions. With Saturn in your 9th house until October 2012, it has been a time of learning, going back to school or  teaching others in some capacity.

When Saturn enters your 10th house in October of 2012,  an old career may close down, allowing for a new one to emerge, one that speaks to who you are now.  Or you may be re-defining the kind of work you are doing or what kind of work you would like to be doing.

Saturn does not reward lazy performance… and you, dear Aquarian, have not been lazy! These months you could be recognized for all the hard work you do.

With that comes the Aquarian need for space and freedom and you will find that come to fruition around June 2012 through the end of the year. Jupiter entering your 5th house allows for energy of joviality, expansiveness and recreation. So whatever the kind of work you are doing you will feel a sense of upliftment and expansiveness.

Freedom is the name of the game for the last half of 2012 and Jupiter bestows wonderful opportunities to find financial support through your individualist yearnings.

Pisces February 20 - March 20

If you ever had the itch to travel, 2012 is the year… As Saturn moves into your 9th house the timing is right to get the answers regarding something you need to know via traveling… Maybe you are exploring new places to live… where do you really want to live to be happy and fulfilled? A sense of the unrealistic – breaking out of the box, propels you forward in finding your purpose. Maybe it is living in a totally different geography.

Surprisingly, with Saturn in your 8th house, you’ve done well for the past two years with your finances as the economic world around you has collapsed. Feeling like nobody is going to support you but yourself, yet you have dreams and visions and you are a Pisces who needs to seek no boundaries to the possibilities of life.

You amaze others with how you live your dreams and somehow still have a roof over your head.

Jupiter in the 3rd has you quite immersed in the social arena. Friends are pulling at you in all directions. Yet you desire this interaction for bouncing off ideas with others and as well as giving ideas to them as well.  And the encouragement to live their dreams also.
By June,  Jupiter in the 4th has your family encouraging you to find that special place, make the leap and just do it… Yes, you can move to Alaska, and you just might find that you family follows you there.

So onward to a New Year...
